CANADIAN LABELING INFORMATION
Bedding, furniture and stuffed toys sold, imported or advertised for sale in Canada must meet Canadian federal labeling requirements,
as well as any applicable provincial requirements on labeling.
NOTE: The Uniform Law Label used in the United States is NOT
ACCEPTABLE in Canada.
The contents by generic name, both in English and French, in order of predominance by weight, expressed
as a percentage of the total fiber weight of the constituent parts.
Fibers present in an amount less than 5% can be disclosed by their generic name; as "Other Fiber"; or alternatively the fiber content
can be shown exclusive of such fiber where the fiber is present as ornamentation, reinforcement or elastic. The words "exclusive of
ornamentation, reinforcement, or elastic" as the case may be, must also appear in conjunction with the fiber content.
The name and address of the dealer, manufacturer, importer, distributor, retailer or, alternatively a Canadian identification
number of a Canadian dealer.
If any representation is made with respect to importation, the country of origin is also required.
Country of origin marking is required by Canada Customs on specific articles. Enquiries concerning these requirements should be directed

When disclosing the contents or stuffing materials, use only generic names. List all of the filling materials
under" Content". It is recommended, but not required, by Ontario and Quebec that you submit a law label for approval.
Manitoba requires a sample label be submitted by mail for approval.
The minimum label size is two and one half inches by four
inches (2 1/2 X 4). Labels may be longer to include the federal requirements by drawing
a heavy black line below the provincial content disclosure section. It is not mandatory that the federal and provincial labeling
requirements appear on the same label.
